Drone mission planner · Worldwide

From above, with care.

Say what the job is, from a roof inspection to B‑roll of a cliff. Altan plans a safe waypoint mission around your target and sends it straight to DJI Fly.

Tell it the job

  • I need to inspect the roof
  • B‑roll of that cliff at golden hour
  • Map this field for an orthophoto
  • Sales photos of the house at dusk
Ridge height 9.4 m · 19:52

Mission types

One planner, every kind of job.

Pick a type, or just describe what you need. Altan chooses the flight pattern, the camera angles and the margins.

  • Real estate

Hero shot, a slow orbit, a rise over the ridge and the view, in the right order for the light. Dusk with the lights on.

For example: “Sales photos of the house at dusk”

  • Inspection

Slow, close passes over roofs, facades, chimneys and towers. Hover and photograph with overlap, plus detail and context shots.

For example: “I need to inspect the roof”

  • Mapping

A nadir grid with front and side overlap worked out from your ground resolution. Add oblique passes or orbit rings for 3D.

For example: “Map this field for an orthophoto”

  • Cinematic B‑roll

Reveals, parallax, orbits, fly-bys and top-down rises over landscapes and landmarks, timed to the light.

For example: “B‑roll of that cliff”

  • In your own words

Write the brief as you would to a colleague. Altan picks and combines the patterns, and tells you how it read the job.

For example: “Follow the river from the bridge to the waterfall”

Two minutes at your desk.

Not an hour on site guessing heights and light. Three steps from target to finished mission.

  1. Choose the target.

Tap a building, drop a point on a cliff or a mast, or draw an area to map. Anywhere in the world.

    Example: Point · radius 150 m

  2. Say what you need.

Pick a mission type, or describe the job in your own words. Choose the drone, the light and photo, video or both.

Example: “I need to inspect the roof”

  3. Straight into DJI Fly.

Altan plans the route from terrain, obstacles, sun and weather, checks every leg, and installs it as a waypoint mission. You check it, you fly it.

    Example: 6 min · 9 photos · 1 orbit

Measured before you lift off.

Every waypoint and every leg is checked against terrain and obstacles. Altan plans and checks. You decide.

In Norway we use 1 m laser data for roofs and trees. Elsewhere we plan from open global terrain and OpenStreetMap buildings, keep wider margins and tell you what we couldn't check.

  • Clear

    Tallest obstacle 11.2 m (birch, north-east) · clearance 8 m

  • Caution

Wind picks up to 9 m/s after 18:00. We've put the low shots first.

  • Reduced data

No tree heights for this site. We keep 30 m above the terrain and leave close work to you.

  • Ready based on our checks

    Max 63 m above ground · 148 m from takeoff

The shots the job needs, planned for you.

Mission · Ready

Øvre Ullernlia 2, Hokksund

6 min · 9 photos · 1 orbit · max 63 m

Tallest obstacle 11.2 m (birch, north-east). We keep 8 m above.

  • The route is planned

The pattern the job calls for – orbit, grid, close passes or a reveal – in the right order for the light and the battery.

  • Measured, not guessed

Terrain and obstacle heights along every leg. At least 5 m clearance with laser data, wider margins where the data is thinner.

  • Light for the place

Sun path, golden hour and blue hour for the exact spot, with wind and cloud from the forecast.

  • Straight into DJI Fly

Installed as a waypoint mission. Mini 4 Pro, Mini 5 Pro, Air 3, Air 3S, Mavic 3 Pro and Mavic 4 Pro.

Light, planned

Every subject in its best light.

A facade at dusk with the lights on, a cliff in the last warm sun, a roof in flat, even light for inspection. Altan works out when, for this place and this day.

  • Same subject, same angle, by day and at dusk
  • Low sun for texture, even light for defects
  • No recognisable neighbours or signs in focus
